Not any different if you consider Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, etc... fine dining.

I'm not going to Ruth's for a burger, and I prefer my steaks cooked differently than my burgers.

Truth be told, the difference isn't that much.

You may need your taste buds recalibrated then. There is a huge difference IMO.

I would think a place like Ruths Chris broil under super high heat that a gas or charcoal grill will not achieve I don't think it has to do with a choice of char flavor or not.

If you have an 1800 degree oven in your back yard you should probably choose that to cook your steak on rather than your Charbroiler 500..

Many of us choose to get things like a Kamado so that we can come somewhat closer to that high heat. You are cooking so fast that there isn't going to be a charcoal flavor anyways.

I do more grilling that bbqing. I think this is what I just said earlier. There is not going to be a huge difference.

Didn't want this to become a charcoal vs. gas debate, so I'm done. To each, his own.

I see lots f people posting about this Weber Genesis. Is it the best gas grill you can buy? I was going to go with a Bull in my new house, but never see anyone talk about them?

If money is no object its not even the best Weber. The Summit line is better than the Genesis. However for the money and a budget under 1k its going to be the best you will find IMO.

The bull line is typically for built in outdoor kitchens. My brother has one. Don't hear any complaints. Haven't used it though.
