My favorite is the Turkey Tom. I used to love the Italian Night Club (drews favorite), but I've become very health conscious lately so I feel kind of sick whenever I eat it

I like JJ. They do go crazy with the mayo sometimes. I dont mind a lot of lettuce though. Overall good sandwich, fast, and cheap. Much better than subway.

Really? The dirt cheap sandwich shop that delivers? On Perkins next to rock n sake. It's a chain, Drew Brees has been hyping it up a lot

Nope because I get it without lettuce.

As far as Jimmy John's as a whole (Rohan, it's a fast food sammich place) it's a very good sandwich for the price AND they deliver at 2:00 am. That's so full of win.

Home of the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. They advertise the roast beef as medium rare and fresh sliced. It was terrible and made gas station roast beef appealing. Arby's has much better roast beef. I'm laughing at people calling it a good deal because it's a very poor loaf of bread with about one or two ounces of very cheap processed meat sold for $5. Actual food costs for a sandwich is probably in the neighborhood of 60 or 70 cents.

The Applebees and college student crowd keep Jimmy John's in business, I'm guessing.

Their "Vito" I think it is, the Italian sandwich is the closest thing to a northeast deli sandwich I can find down here.

Whoever said it was pricey has no concept of how much shite costs.

I don't live in BR. And sandwiches to-go/delivered? No thanks. Sandwiches need to be consumed immediately after consummation, IMO.

Tulane, I get the jist of what this place is about. Sounds like a waste of time and money.

Btw, had the roast beef poboy at Ignatius today.. was actually pretty damn good considering the rest of their food is rather crappy.

When you're on a student budget and can't afford to go to Galatoire's 30+ times a year, Jimmy John's is an excellent choice for lunch.

bullshite excuse. You could make healthier and better quality sandwiches at home for less dough.

Brooklyn Pizza is next door. You can get a huge and delicious slice of pizza and drink for $3.50.

Chateau Orleans Poboys is directly behind it. You can get a freshly made and very good small roast beef po-boy there, which has three to four times as much meat, for under $6.

Sake Cafe is nearby and you can get two rolls during happy hour 3-6 for $6.

All of the 6" sandwiches at Pizza Florence are under $5.

Pho Nola isn't far off and has the city's best grilled pork Vietnamese poboy for under $4.

That Subway $5 sandwich campaign really warped public opinion about the value of $5. There are plenty of much better $5 deals to be had if you're willing not to be mindless drones to mass marketing.

bullshite response. You can do almost any food at home healthier and and for less dough.

What happens if you want a fast food sandwich while you're not at home?

I'm in Br, not wherever all those places are (although they sound like steals). Rohan2Reed, I go there once a week at most. I have been cooking for myself but sometimes you're short for time

Don't you live in new orleans? Brees owns one or is responsible for the money to build one down there.

Eh. Not everyone knows how to cook properly.

Like TulaneLSU said, you can get tastier meals and more filling portions for the same amount of money.

I do. Just never heard of this place. So it's a franchised restaurant?
