there are 3-4 chains within walking distance of the commercial part of Maple. La Madeline, Oh Henry, and Starbucks right there on Maple. I want to say there is a Subway in that strip mall next to Madigans. Its not really immune to chains.

there's also a PJ's right next to the patisserie...

Jimmy Johns is quick, cheap sandwiches that deliver. It is perfect for college areas

not everyone wants to eat a poboy or something for every meal, there is a market for just a quick sandwich shop

im not blown away by their sandwiches but I eat there fairly often whenever I need a quick bite that isnt fast food

Young, dumb and full of come eat my chain crap.

The Tulane dummies will do the foreign exchange student thing so they can immerse themselves in the culture of Guatemala, then come to New Orleans and eat at a chain.

Things starting getting fake when silicone hit Bourbon St..

I can't speak for the one down there but they deliver here until 4:00 am. After a few drunken nights of local delivery pizza places, you're ready for a change.

Do you really think Drew Brees would live in New Orleans if he weren't contractually bound to the New Orleans Saints? His wife and kids spend almost as much time in California as they do New Orleans.. which says a lot.

He's here while he can make the money and when his career as the Saints QB is over, he's gone.

LOL you're delusional about New Orleans and in thinking Drew Brees will stay once he's done with the Saints.

You cite this as definitive proof that Brees won't move as soon as he's done playing for the Saints?

dumb bitch

Granted, I shouldn't have flamed the thread. I just find people to be a bit naive when it comes to Brees. He's feeling the love, sure.

Are you familiar with the clothing company he started and the direction he is taking with it ?

quote:

The company, Brees’ business, will be a lifestyle clothing company for men and women of all ages. Brees’ business will sell apparel that “carries the spirit of New Orleans,” according to Brees.

quote:

The company plans to launch in the fall of 2012, will be for-profit, and will have a charitable component in order to give back to the city

Who knows if DB will stay in NOLA the rest of his life? However he will be forever linked to the city and will contribute much more to it than most. With NOLA quickly become Hollywood south I doubt DB will ever sell his home down here. He's gonna need a place to live when he runs for Mayor lol.

Blow it out your arse. There will always be local restaurants. A JJ's in uptown isn't a big deal. It's better than an empty building.

Jimmy Johns is horrible. Sad that they keep popping up. They may have great service and hours etc, but the sandwich is worthless.

There are many chains with superior sandwiches. Quizno>Jersey Mike's>>>>>>Subway>>>>>>>>>>JJs
