I think he is trying to say that yeah they have filmed the final episode, but they may not have revealed the winner. Sometimes these shows will have a live finale where they have all the contestants back, show clips, and announce the winner at the end.

They filmed 3 endings, so they don't know who won yet.

That's interesting. I hope Jay is one of the 3.

I guess it's a good way to keep the winner a secret. No clue how they determine the winner. This is my first season watching.

The Uproxx recap is pretty funny.

I miss Jillian Madison's Foodnetworkhumor.com site. She used to nail their asses, and the comments section was a free for all.

I remember the real Food Network was soliciting audition videos, and you could upload them to their site. Someone posted a tip on FNHumor one Sunday afternoon to check out the "Heating up the Kitchen" submission. It was some hardcore porn pounding. Good stuff.

It was up for several hours. I kept imagining some IT guy getting a frantic call at home from Suzie Fogelman.

Was good stuff. This show is pretty insulting all the way round. From telling the guy not say his big Japanese words because that's gonna confuse people to basically telling every non-white person they have to cook from their ethnic background.

That's not what they are saying. In one minute, or 90 seconds if you are too dumb and selfish to pay attention, you have to pare it back and save the education for when you have more time.

They don't do this at all. Those people come in there with a point of view, whether it be Italian or African or whatever.

Jay's a natural. Sure, he screwed up the gumbo.. but everyone stumbles at times. I think he's going to make it far and has a legit chance at winning

They absolutely do. I remember a couple season's back with Susie(who was Mexican). She just wanted her angle to be home mom chef and the judges kept telling her to "embrace her roots" or "tell her personal story" and once she finally cooked some Mexican food they acted like she invented the wheel.

As usual, Jay slays his presentations, at least in my book. He's just great on screen. So darn likable. The food prep presented some obstacles. I nearly got teary eyed looking at the sauce left off the plates of the grillades dish. I'm sure that sauce was tasty and would have turned that dish into a winner. Maybe they took on too much for that challenge. I cringed when he said grillades in a 60 minute challenge. I like the meat to be very tender in grillades which takes more time to achieve and I wouldn't cook the meat whole. It was more of a "play" on the grillades and it didn't work out well, sadly. Too little time.

Here's Jeff Mauro's summary. He's a funny guy. LINK

He's right. Dom and Michelle were a train wreck together and bickered like a couple. Dom cannot present. It's painful to listen to him. Dom needs to go.

I enjoy watching Arnold to a degree, but he's nervous and worries. I'm not sure he could pull off a show when something went wrong.

Wonder which booted contestant will make it back to the show? I haven't watched the online episodes.

Jay is very watchable. His cooking has been poor though other than a few winners.

Dom is painful to watch.

I agree that overall Jay Is the most "ready" and suitable for his own show. He has definitely not been the best chef thus far, though. Seems like he's due, looking forward to something falling in his wheelhouse and him nailing it.

Hopefully, he'll up his game in the cooking department. Realistically, with his own show though a short show, he can have a lot of prep done ahead of time unlike the competition. I think he'd come up with good recipes and food with that in mind. He's just not quite doing it in the competition, but the ideas are good...well, except for trying to make that gumbo in a short period of time. That wasn't too smart and I'm sure he's knows that now.

Jay and Eddie are the only ones I see that are deserving of a show. I personally think Eddie is the best but Jay is a very close second. Dom is just flat out awful. It makes me uncomfortable watching him

Yeah Jay and Eddie are neck and neck and I could see both having a show pretty easily. Both are extremely likable and watchable. After that, the third spot is kind of a toss up. With who is left, I think Arnold is the only one with a chance to challenge the top 2. Dom, Michelle, and Alex are on the outside looking in. It's amazing Dom has made it this far. He is unbearable to watch for me on camera.

Yeah I think Arnold is definitely in the 3rd spot. But he still is shaky sometimes as well. But yeah I'm about to start muting it when dom is up. He literally makes me feel uneasy watching him. Just say anything

Agreed, he deserves to win for sure. I'm also pulling for Arnold. Either would be a worthy winner.

I guess it must be family bias, but I take Jay over Arnold any day.

Good news is if he loses he'll make a good used car salesman.

Jay and Eddie are the obvious front runners. No one else is even close for me. Jay needs to up the food game. It seems he messes one dish up and then slays the other in every show. If he fixes that, I think he can take this. That pizza would have been great if the time management would have worked out.
