That's cool to hear. My buddies own Hawkers, they're working on restaurants 8, 9, and 10 now. Jacksonville was store #2.

Can they please come to Birmingham?

Up and coming and kinda established-now food scene. Could use a place like Hawkers.

All of the suggestions so far are excellent and places I go to a decent amount or have been at least several times. Only exception being Cowford Chophouse which seems to have somewhat mixed reviews from when they first opened but everyone I know that’s been there has enjoyed it.

French Pantry might be the best restaurant in Jacksonville but the wait on a Friday or a Saturday is brutal unless you get there like 15-20 min before they open the doors.

Haven’t been yet but ABBQ in Atlantic Beach might be a good choice. I’ve been told they serve an outstanding prime rib and have generally Texas style BBQ. There’s a Mojo out at the beaches as well which is probably tied with Bearded Pig for my favorite BBQ in town.
