Italian restaurant in Birmingham

Last time we were in Hover for the baseball tournament we found an Italian restaurant in Birmingham. It was really off the beaten path and looked to be in a neighborhood. White tablecloth and a patio in the back. Dirt parking lot with valet parking. We tried to get in but needed reservations. Anybody know the name of this place

Definitely Gianmarco’s. It’s very, very good.
ETA: I think you used to be able to go to the wine bar out back and eat without a reservation, but I don’t know if COVID changed all that.

Still a thing but it can be hit or Miss how crowded it is. Always better to just call couple weeks in advance and get one.
Highly recommend the Fiocchi appetizer as one of your apps. Very tasty and a unique little dish.

Very good and they always have a lot of different specials. I give their waiters/waitress some credit because they have to memorize all of them.
Had a wagyu short rib one time with some bone marrow that was incredible. Also, if you sit out back the wine is priced differently and a bit cheaper than in the main dining area iirc

Not a big Italian food fan as a rule, but love this place. Very well executed, priced accordingly, and always packed.
