Is there a place with a more eclectic menu than Zea's?

They've got something Korean, Greek, Asain, Cajun and everything is good. Grits and Thai snap beans. Today I had duck enpanadas and the pesto trout.

And Count C., my wife called you a bald fassed lie. There wasn't a single tennis skirt in there.

We ate at this place Saturday while coming back from Mississippi. This was the Slidell location. I had the braised veal and the wife had a chicken sandwich. Both were good.

and that wide variety doesn't make you wonder that you aren't really eating "fresh" food?

Fail.......

Must I educate you on every ting. School is out and its 101 degrees at 12:00 noon. The socialite, wannabee, Jr leaguers change habit patterns in summer. You can now find them dragging their kids over to the sno-ball place by Don's on Johnston.

It's pretty obvious most of their stuff is frozen. Especially the vegetables. They have some of the worst broccoli and snap beans I've ever had.

The bronzed trout and the rotisserie chicken seem fresh enough though. Well, at least they taste pretty good.

Love their Sweet Thai chili rotisserie chicken. During lunch, it's half a chicken plus a side for only 15 bucks. Can't beat that.

You never said it was seasonal. Wife said next time she goes she's gonna wear a tennis skirt just for you.

The Mediterranean Hummus app is delicious, but every time I venture away from my standard bronzed trout, corn grits & sugar snap beans, I get disappointed. I'll just stick with that from now on.

At a sit down place like Zea's I think it's pretty good. I love their rotisserie and half a chicken plus one side is enough for me. It's just lunch. I don't need to stuff myself like a fatass at a buffet every time I have lunch.

It's freaking ZEA. Just ZEA. Zea Rotisserie and Grill. Zea does not own anything.

Anyway, I had the Portabello Veggie Panini the other day and it was awesome:

I take Zea for what it is. I know it's not fresh, local food for the most part. But I think what they have is done really well. That being said, every time I've been I get apps as a meal or just a sandwich. Never gotten a big entree.
