Is Rama closed?

They definitely seemed closed tonight. The doors were locked and no answer on the phone. Does anyone know anything about them closing--either temporarily or permanently?

If so that's very sad because they were a great restaurant.
Losing Rama, Chelsea's and Zee Zees completely changes the dynamics of that neighborhood scene.

Before I left BR in '98 I think Rama would close during the summer for a month and they would go to Thailand......not sure if it was August or not

Interesting, hopefully that is the case. Seems like they would leave a sign on the door or something.

I'm pretty sure they close annually this time of year. They travel home to thailand and party

Tried the other day and they didn't answer, thought it was because of flooding (it was like last Tuesday).
If they are closed I don't want to live in this cruel, cruel world anymore. Their Pad Thai and Rama spicy makes this world worth living in.

This is a post from the NEXT DOOR site.
Any of you able to help the Chapmans, (Rama), call their niece Shada to coordinate 1 225 288 8332
As an update: Mr Chapman, who is 84, fell Saturday and is at the doctor. This is added to the woes of his house as well as two of the ladies who are servers at Rama, Tou Het and Nee.
Volunteer, if you can. I think that they will need housing and who knows what else.

Does anyone have an update on if they are open again? Tried calling and it just rang for a few minutes but no answer.
ETA: They answered! But they are closed until the 19th.
