Church’s is what Popeyes was 35 years ago, at least the 2 locations I frequent. Your mileage may vary

The gravy is excellent. I use extra skin as a spoon instead of the spork they provide.

I do this too. I may also dump the crumbs from the chicken box into the mashed potatoes.

C'mon down to Lafayette and enjoy the Popeyes buffet on Pinhook. Laawwwwdddd, gotta take a shower after I leave.

I did it. I scheduled meetings early this morning so I could hit the buffet and now back in Mandeville. My only complaint was they didn’t have strips on the buffet today. I still have no clue how I made the drive without blowing out my bowels along the way. Buffet was good, but not a good decision for me today. I came. I saw. I was conquered.

Popeyes spicy is the definition of fried chicken. So much flavor.

If you can find a well managed Popeyes, it's unbeatable as a drive through. We got one by the hunting camp that is just the fricking tits.

choose the mash potatoes and gravy over the red beans and rice,

Try mixing the mashed potatoes with the red beans or with the dirty rice. GOAT

Onions rings recipe change killed it for me.

I used to go there and just get the onion rings. The chicken fingers now are also totally different than the original recipe.
If Chick fil a would offer the original Popeyes chicken finger recipe and onion rings it would finish off Popeyes.
If Popeyes is not going to make use of it at least let someone else capitalize on it.

See my Tasso Gravy in the Recipe Collection at the top of the page. It's based on the Popeye's gravy copycat recipe. When you make it yourself, it's so much better.
