This. Leave it to Christians to turn a birthday into a quarter of a year.
What!!! Not that we ever do that but the birth of Jesus isn’t like some kids 12th birthday party.
Think I need to get on opentable for Thanksgiving though. Thanks for the reminder OP.

same.
Although I read a thread on here about these bone in pork loins at Costco. Smoked one of those for Thanksgiving that year.
Now it's a "tradition" .

Thanksgiving Bloody Mary morning party
I am not saying this isnt a good idea, but in the past few years moved away from Bloody Mary's on holiday mornings. Subbed in a bourbon or brandy milk punch with a few shots of cold brew thrown in. Easier on stomach, packs a punch, and gives you the caffeine hit you need.

For thanksgiving we always do a smoked ponce and for Christmas we do ham. This year I will push to cook a beef tenderloin for the family.

I'm not the host, but I do contribute a cocktail/app food of some sort. There are other options to drink, but most folks go for the bloody mary. Several times, I've pre-made jugs over milk punch as my contribution. I stopped because so many people were going straight from the party to their family lunch and were ordering lighter drinks. This party has been going on for about 30 years or more with 100 + attendees coming and going every Thanksgiving morning.
