Is it safe to cook and eat steaks after a week?

I bought a pack of ny strips last Sunday. I had planned on vacuum sealing and freezing them. But I had a busy week and forgot. They've been in my fridge a week, and I'm debating if I should eat them tonight?
Is it okay, or will my colon appreciate me tossing them in the trash?

I'd eat them if they smelled fine and we're prime.
Don't we pay extra for "aged" anyway?

Smell test. Your nose knows.

Beef should have a "sweet" smell. You will know if they are bad! I'm sure they are a shade of green/gray?

Bacteria cannot penetrate beef meat. Cook outside and eat

Someone post the pics from the thread where a guy tried aging steaks in his fridge. Or link the thread. I'd like to bookmark it this time.

These dry-aged steaks smell pretty sweet

Remember: Red meat is not bad for you; fuzzy green meat is bad for you.
