as mentioned here before, it's definitely legit. The most legit BBQ I've had in this region thus far. The folks up front were all over the place and seemingly very unorganized with a flood of orders coming at them.
That being said my order ended up 100% accurate and delicious. We sampled the brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, beans and potato salad. All excellent. I'll be back.

Was the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, beans and potato salad also legitimate?

It is pretty hard to screw up BBQ. Firehouse has a pretty good customer base since there are no other BBQ joints within 10 miles. I make better BBQ at home IMHO.

Odd, I went their a couple weeks ago and it was ok. I did think the pulled pork was good, but the ribs sucked. The sausage was manda, which I hate. The beans were really good, but thought the potato salad had way to much mayo.
I may try it again, but it won’t be soon. I’ll stick to Wayne’s in Livingston.

It's pretty good, but there's not many options in these parts.
I was asking the manager at Sonny's the other when they were going to take over the old Ryan's or Voodoo out here in Denham, and she said NEVER.
Sure wish we could get a quality BBQ place.

I disagree. It is very easy to make crappy BBQ. Low quality meat is an easy way to start. Trying to rush it to cut costs is an easy second step. Finishing it up with cheap mass produced sauce is the topping.

And if you can't smell it, and see the smoke coming out of the back of the building, then it is not real BBQ.
Don't be a victim of Crock-Pot BBQ.

The brisket is very good but I've found the other stuff to be pretty mediocre. That said, it's still my favorite in the area. However, I still hit up Sonny's most often.

I’ve been going there for years as I work close by. I agree that it is very good. Don’t sleep on the burgers either! They are very good and arguably the best in the area as well. Add caramalized onions. The brisket and pulled pork are great. Ribs are definitely fall off the bone. Tad over cooked in my opinion if you looking for the bite off the bone rib. Agree the sausage is nothing special and believe it’s actually deep fried. Also the girls in there will make you a “Philly Cheese” style sandwich using shredded brisket on open faced bun adding peppers and onions.
