I don't get you at all. Somebody says Guy is a douche and you get all wadded up and say it's completely ungrounded, yet you say things like this. Just confusing since you are obviously a smart person.

Well, fair enough. I didn't see that either of you were making any distinctions either way, but.....

so you think Guy Fieri is cool and bourdain, a guy with actual talents other than scarfing down a big fried item on camera and saying "that's off the chain" is a joke?

I need to investigate you further. There has to be some other gems in your posting career

But does bourdain have a soft spot for kids with cancer? Evidently you can't be a fl douche if you meet that criteria

I think Guy's show is more watchable. Bourdain is too full of himself most of the time.

I also enjoy things like Bar Rescue and Three Sheets. I'm not looking to go on a "cultural road trip to the birthplace of kimchi where salted yellow corvina and butterfish are the Korean equivalent to our mac & cheese." ....or some such bullshite. Just looking to be mildly entertained for half an hour.

Am I the only one who thinks the family of the cancer patient was a little out of line asking Guy to shave his head. He is a celebrity who took time to visit the kid and they are asking him to part with a major piece of his trademark look. I have no problem with him politely declining to do that.

Guy seems like a fun person who loves what he does. Bourdain, while extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, is a burned out smack addict who tries too hard to be edgy and cool.

Guy isn't bad and I enjoy DDD, but he doesn't hold a candle to Bourdain in a kitchen, as a writer, or on television. Just my 2 cents.

That's where I think the show is cheesy. Almost every show is the same.

Oh look, they're making roast beef. Maybe it will go on a sandwich. Maybe at some point there will be a camera shot of a bunch of dry ingredients being thrown into a pot and then Guy will say something like "all the kids in the pool" and if we're really lucky maybe we'll get to see him bite into the sandwich and say something about flavor town or it being the real deal.

Bourdain is a douche but if I had to hang out with one of the three of them for a couple hours, it would be him.

I don't really have a problem with the show

I just hate how a lot of them seem like carbon copies of each other.

I realize that there are only so many ways to make brisket or roast beef. But with that in mind, maybe he should focus on the things that are more off the cuff instead of the run of the mill shite that's on almost every show.
