How sick am I about to be?

I left some frozen meat out on the counter yesterday at 6 pm. Plan was to put it in the fridge before going to bed. I must have forgotten about it and it stayed out all night till 8 am. Well my wife decided just to throw it in the fridge, so I wake up and thought I had put it up the night before. Cook it and eat it this morning. I thought something was off when I was touching it and it wasn’t that cool. Wife comes home and goes you know you left that meat out all night and I put it in the fridge. Am I going down later?
ETA: I refroze the left over meat. I’m guessing if I don’t get sick it will be good to eat.

Shouldn't be sick if you are halfway healthy.

If it was frozen at 6pm, you should be fine for the most part. Assuming you’re mostly healthy (like fighting tigers said), and it wasn’t malodorous, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Certain harmful bacteria needs to be on the meat to begin with. This may or may not be.
If so, the bacteria definitely had time to grow and this can lead to harmful levels.
If that happened, you may be sick. Most normal people just think they have a little stomach bug and think nothing of it. If you’re unhealthy, you can have more severe conditions.
In summary, my bet is 95% chance you’re fine. 4% chance you feel sort of bad for a day. 1% chance you feel bad.

Honestly, no one can tell you if it will make you sick or not. Some have eaten meat left out for several days and survived. Some have eaten meat that was never at room temp and died. Anything any of us tell you is just a guess.
I would bet a nickel you will be ok. No more, because I'm putting my betting money on the Lottery right now.
Disclosure - I have a masters in microbiology and an APHA certification in public health, so my "I cant say" opinion is based on many hours of classroom exposure and quite a bit of research, followed up by 50 years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience.

MD you've led a very interesting life.
OP if you're not bursting through all exits by now you're prob OK.
Always smell and feel your food before you cook it, this is the best way.

I couldn't answer that question unless you defined what kind of "meat", but you should be fine.

Stayed out till 8 in the morning.
Your ole lady is pissed for sure.
I bet she left the meat out on purpose, hoping it would kill you.
Godspeed!
