How much is a box of 14oz cereal where you live

One of the few benefits of living in the Gold Coast of chicago is the abundance of grocery stores within a mile walk. Probably 7 for me. As a result one is able to shop only the sales.
Recently I got a good deal on Kellogg's raisin bran and Rice Krispies, only $1.20 per box but had to buy four. These are 14.7 oz boxes
Got me thinking about how expensive cereal has become. ChicAgos only 3 hours from the Kellogg's factory so that prob helps with price too.
How much is a box you're willing to buy? I NEVER go to SAMs or Costco for cereal their prices are ridick!

when I walk into a store to buy cereal the manager sees my lsu gear, calls the distrubition plant in birmingham, and doubles the price on what I was going to buy.

I haven't bought cereal in 10 years. Buy some eggs... cheaper and better for you.

Depends on which brand.
The higher end brands like Kashi and Puffin are around $4.50-5. Meanwhile the Kellogs and Post are about $3.50. Even the off name brands are close to $3.00.

lots of people apparently. Especially considering how much it costs and how much is sold.
cereal stats
that said, I'm not spending $5/box for Kashi or any other shitty, sugarless, mix of nuts and grain that aren't worthy of being put in my deer feeders. For $4-$5.00/box, I want sugary, fattening breakfast food that is bad for you. Capt. Crunch, Total, Raisin Brand, Frosted Flakes, etc.
