It isn't a King cake, I'm sure it's delicious, but not a King cake. I don't want to stop some place for a King cake and all they have are donuts. Call it what it is.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the fried dough, the glazed donut icing, or the gallon of filling they inject into each cake. I think Rouse's are better than Meche's, but a lot of people like them for sure.

While we are at it, how about a boudin king cake.
