I get a vegetable CSA delivered to my work once a week. On top of that I probably go to the store for food related items 3x a week. It helps that their is an organic market and a korean market 1 block away from my house.

When it comes to buying protein, we normally stock up when something is on sale, but if not we go about once every other week maybe.

AND yes, buying fresh veggie will help you eat better. About 2 years ago we inverted our meat/veggie intake and started doubling up on veggies, while sharing a chicken breast instead of eating 1 each.

I go 3-4 times a week. So probably 15ish times a month. I live close and go often to get good deals. The grocery store I frequent usually only has their meat/fish on sale for a day at a time so if you aren't there frequently, you miss some great buys.

I go at least once a week, maybe more depending on what I'm cooking and whats in the pantry/fridge/freezer. Meat and seafood usually come from the freezer, fresh veggies and fruit from farmers market, relatives gardens, or produce stand, and we get the rest from whatever grocery store is most convenient.

Every day, 365 days a year. Everything is fresh. Got a list on the counter where Lucy can scribble in her requests. The average bill is $25. It's right next door to Starbucks and my Gym which I also visit every day, so no added expense on travel time.

Worst experience. Behind an old woman who was buying 200 little bitty cans of cat food. Each one had to be scanned.

Best experience. A black woman was quibbling about a coupon. A gay guy behind her (in front of me) said "Look, here's 10 dollars for your groceries. Will you please just go away?" She took the money and left.

I also go like 4-5 a week. There's a nice Publix right around the corner from my house so it's too conviebt not to go. I usually try to cap my spending and a lot is buying food just for that night. I figure it's better to buy on an as-needed basis rather than stocking up on perishables and letting them spoil

Very good point. I go 4-5 times a week and usually buy what I'm cooking that day. I always look to see what's on sale and go from there.
