Going to be in BR tomorrow and thought I would stop in at Martins to buy something different.

Is the beer selection decent or is there some other place in that area I should try?

TIA

Go to the store where they do scavenger hunts.

It is okay, but Calandros has a much better one IMO. QBin is decent at surprising ya too.

I don't live in BR.

Could you expand on that a little?

It's solid, but far from Calandro's, QBin, Beverage Store, etc. Be careful with dates too, some of their stuff has been on the shelf for awhile. The one really good thing about them is that they will sell a single of anything (bottle or can) and they don't even charge the usual single markup. If the 6 pack is $8.99, the single will be $1.50.

Calandros, Bin Q, Alexanders are your top choices honestly

Calandro's has a real nice selection of imports that Martin doesn't carry. I'm never disappointed at Calandro's.

As others have said, the selection at Martin's for beer is fairly mediocre. Colandro's is a short drive down Perkins and will have everything you're looking for. I find Martin's great for cheap medium range liquor.
