about like ribeyes to lamb chops, no corallation, shrimp are more per pound but have less waste/lb

Thanks guys. I'm used to cooking crawfish at the old standard of 5 lbs per person. Thinking about having a shrimp boil. Is there a standard lb per person I should order?

Can't help you...some pros will come along and give tips. At my place, if I cook 5lbs of shimp...we eat 'em all...same result wiyh 10 lbs.
FWIW, I think crawfish yield between .15 and .18 lbs of meat per pound of live crawfish, so shrimp seem the more economical purchase.

Seems a little high if women/children are present. Also depends on what else you're having.
Then again, better to have too much than not enough. The leftovers are great for omelets the next morning or shrimp salad for lunch.
