Looking for lunch in Houston this Saturday. We're staying downtown and also will be headed to Little Woodrow's on Shepherd early afternoon to watch the LSU game. So any suggestions in those areas.

I'm an old fan of Goode Company Seafood and Pico's.

I may do something similar if I stay in town.

Alma Latina on N. Shepherd (about 3 miles north of Little Woodrow’s) is really good. Their Molcajete fajitas don’t disappoint.

If you're staying downtown, I'd go to Ninfa's on Navigation.

Just depends on the type of food you are looking for.

Heights and downtown, you can throw a rock in any direction and hit a unique food joint.

The pit room on Richmond is really good BBQ and on the way to litte woodrows. I will more than likely watch the game there myself.

Other spots to consider would be east hampton and the burger joint. You can only go to the burger joint when it isn't raining though because its mostly outside but they have plenty of TVs for football.

For sure. Went there on my last visit to Houston and plan on having lunch there on Sunday before we head back home.

If you’re gonna go to Little Woodrow’s, go to Little Woodrow’s Midtown. It will be poppin and much better atmosphere than Shepard.

2:30 game and I’m in Houston, I’m having a few Cyclone Anaya’s margaritas with chips/queso. I’ll worry about a meal later

The only reason I'm going to any Little Woodrow's is because I'm told that is where the most LSU fans will be since it is the official watch party location of the LSU Alumni Houston chapter.

Going to eat an early lunch before the game. Headed to House of Blues for a concert as soon as the game is over.

Then eat lunch at Xochi for elevated Mexican cuisine. It's James Beard quality Mexican, not taco truck.

After lunch, just walk next door to watch the game at Biggio's. It's probably Houston's premier sports bar. From there, walk toward the House of Blues, but stop across the street for a cocktail or two at Reserve 101. A bit of bar chat with the bar tender can easily lead to free tickets at House of Blues.
