I lived in Houston for almost 10 years before moving out to Sugar Land 3 years ago and I only recognize half these names. Lots of good suggestions though. I now how 3 kids so can’t do date nights anymore but I’m jealous.

I’ve heard good things about Neo for Sushi but haven’t been myself.

Overlooked but always a good Italian meal is Giacomo’s on Westheimer.

The Bludorn restaurants are also good.

There is a Michelin sushi and steak spot across from Squable but haven’t been yet. For the record, I went to Squable when it first opened and I thought it was overhyped but that was just a work dinner.

Just too many to list. Houston has some heavy hitters for sure.

Oh I’d be broke and destitute if I lived there and attempted any figment of the way I treat it on vacation.

Wife and I had a birthday weekend trip to Houston this past weekend. Went to dinner at Bludorn Friday night which was excellent. Hit up Tiny's Milk and Cookies for pastries Saturday morning. We then had lunch at Le Colonial which was very good. Got some cocktails at Anvil followed by dinner at Nobie's. Everything was great, we did not have one complaint about the food or drinks. Houston has so many options. Had a nightcap at Reserve 101 downtown as well.

I would suggest do to Turner’s instead of Turner’s cut, they have a legit speakeasy right upstairs (yes, you literally walk into a kitchen and they open up a secret door that looks like a dish rack that opens up into a candle lit hallway) that is free to get in if you have dinner at Turner’s

Welp. Y’all haven’t steered me wrong.

Katami 10/10

Segreto - well, Latin night was QUITE a sight, but still fun

The people at ROCC were super kind, and they actually had a big golf tournament going on against NOCC

Turners Cut 10/10

Milton’s 10/10

Lees 10/10

Clark’s Oyster Bar 10/10

Even the restaurant in the hotel that just opened is awesome.

We planned on Candente tonight but our friends at Lees insisted we go to Maximo’s and gave us gift cards, so I guess that’s the plan.

To give a recommendation back - if you’re into eclectic music (I am), Betelgeuse Betelgeuse is pretty legit. Didn’t get the pizzas, but they’re pan style and look awesome.

Didn’t get much in the ways of pics. I had 72 hours of E Coli (????) poisoning or something up until the morning we left home.. and had to medicate just to fly here. But everything has been very good.
