So, using a condiment invented in America is unAmerican, but using a condiment created overseas is American.

That's kind of true, it's mostly a Berlin thing.

Ever been to Berlin?

Currywurst is akin to bagels in NYC. It's their favorite fast food.

Cool. You said ketchup over hotdogs is mainly a Berlin thing, while then posting a picture of a brat covered in curry

Am I missing something?

Sweet relish is all I require. Anything after that is lagniappe.

My bother eats mayo in hotdogs. Course he eats mayo on everything. I remember back when we were teens he'd make these Reece Cup sandwiches. He'd take two pieces of bread, lather on a thick (I mean like a tablespoon on each slice of bread) layer of mayo, sort of halfway bury 4 Reece Cups in the mayo and then he'd eat it.

I don't know what to tell you. If you don't believe me perhaps you can go over there and tell me how I am wrong.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for but never ketchup on a hotdog.

I hardly use ketchup for fries these days.

My go-to is mustard, chili, cheese. May splurge and put diced onions and/or dill relish.

If it's chili on a hotdog, no beans required. If it's a bowl of chili, beans required.
