Red robin reminds me of a burger chilis. Don't go to that shite

If red robin burgers were served in some run down looking building people would say they are the best burgers ever, but since its a chain the food snobs dont like it. Red robin has some of the best burgers around.

His first post suggesting Fat Cow has 7 downvotes and zero upvotes. His post you're referencing is more saying the two places in the OP are shite, which is what people are likely upvoting.

Gotcha.

Red Robin as burger Chili's is exactly what I thought when I went there. It's fine for what it is, but I'm not recommending it to someone when there are restaurants on par or better.

I recommended a chain over a shittier chain.

FIFY.

Smashburger is way better than Red Robin. My experience was pretty terrible, and won't go back unless I don't have another choice.

So, what's your point? I like talking about burgers...

And the thread is not stupid. People continually going off topic is stupid. I asked a very simple question. Between two places, which place would you prefer. It was that simple. I have been to some of the other places listed, but my daughter and I were discussing Smashburger and Red Robin. Bringing up other places falls on deaf ears.

Yes, I went to a Smashburger in Houston last summer with my brother-in-law Ian. I ate at that location once. My daughter did not. We have not been to the BR location. Neither of us have ever eaten a burger from Red Robin. We have decided to go to Smashburger.

At 50,000 posts, you should know how message boards work.

At 50,000 posts, you have gone off topic many many times.

Edit: I don't mind the burger posts.

Exactly. You post about two places that the majority of this website has called mediocre for as long as they've been talked about.. and then you refuse to listen to a person's suggestion that might actually impress you far more. These two restaurants aren't next door to each other. It isn't like you have some reason it HAS to be one or the other. I don't care either way (I've said I like pretty much all burgers), but to bitch that people are trying to help you out and offer other suggestions? Ridiculous.

You're just being like the couple other posts I can think of who purposely start threads like this so they can crusade against the "snobs". God forbid someone think they're helping you out and suggest something better. Other suggestions always happen when people start limiting threads like this. And SOME people have actually discovered new options that way and been pleased.

You don't have to be a mind reader to pick up on context clues

I have been to most of those places. I understand. I have already stated that.

Are you reading anything or simply responding based on emotion? I clearly stated that my daughter and I were talking about these specific places. Do you have kids? You were a teenage girl, right? SHE is my reason, know-it-all.

...and I was only negative when other posters became negative.

I will not respond any further to your post because you continue to repeat yourself.

This interaction between LL and lsufan8675309 are the exact reason we need these burger threads.

Conversations must address one, and only one topic. People must never ever let conversations develop.

No you haven't. You listed 4 other places in OP. I think it is fair when you say you want to try somewhere new, for someone to recommend places you haven't mentioned if they think they're better than your two limited options. I don't see why that is something to get pissy over.

I will list my favorite BR burger joints below for taste references.

1. Mooyah
2. Maxwell's
3. Five Guy's
4. Burgersmith

Do you read from top to bottom and from left to right, or do you simply choose your own starting point?

This is from my OP. Now, do you see why the other four places are mentioned? It is quite simplistic.

I will not respond to anything else nor check this thread again. Thank you to all who actually took the time to respond to my actual question. C-Man, thanks for the old school Whataburger comment. It has been years! I hope you are doing well.
