Going to World of Beer in downtown Savannah tonight. Looking for thoughts on choosing my beers.

They have all the standards from Rogue, New Belgium, Dogfish Head, Allagash, Ommegang, Anderson Valley, Ballast Point, Stone, etc. etc. but the ones below are the ones I have picked out.

I'm going to try/share four beers tonight.

Come Hell or High Watermelon-21st Amendment
Kalamazoo Licorice Stout-Bell's
Big Shanty Graham Cracker Stout-Burnt Hickory
Spiced Orange-Crabbie's
Blackberry Pear-Crispin
Raspberry Frambois-Lindemans
Black Mocha Stout-Highland
Orange Blossom Pilsner-Orange Blossom
Cherry Ale-Samuel Smith
Old Guard-Service
Timmermans Framboise
Banana Bread Beer-Wells
Sticky Toffee Pudding-Wells
Stochasticity Project Master of Disguise-Stone

I have no idea what Old Guard is... but the others would be the ones I'd most want to try... and maybe the Old Guard as well.

Service is a local Savannah brewery. They make good stuff.

A traditional Biere de Garde, a malt-focused ale accented by yaupom honey from the Savannah Bee Company.

Do they offer short pours?

Probably could handle 6, eh?

Would not these. That Banana Bread beer is awful.

I don't know about short pours. You can definitely sample though. That's why I am going to share though so I can have more.

My reason for 24-32 ounces has to do with points/calories.

(still being very careful there-I might have a salad for supper and add an extra beer. )

I've had the graham cracker stout and didn't care for it. Way to sweet for my liking.

I'd try the Bell's. If they have other Bell's stuff, Oberon, Hopslam, 3 hearted Ale are also excellent.

The Distillery always has a better tap list.

They don't have trivia on Wednesday night though. ;)

Seriously I need to go. I wish they'd put what's on tap on their web site. Did you join their "club?"

You may want to throw in a beer or two which isn´t flavored with something.... You know, maybe taste the beer.

No have not joined their club. Crystal Beer Parlor always has a great tap list too and it is on their site.

By the way do you ever go to the beer growler?

Yeah...stay away from the banana bread beer. It's vile stuff.

Haven't been yet. I'm not drinking much these days, so haven't had the inclination.
