They are having a 4 day sale. Think today is the last day.

Yep Jones ..

And the .99 deal (when they have it) for the butt is usually for 2 pack. Sometimes you can have too much butt.

Looks like half fat. Not very good cuts there.

Im kind of wary on buying large pieces of pork on sale. Plenty of it sits in the grocery for way too long

Probably part of the reasons a lot of people hate Rouses for their meat. Especially in Baton Rouge. I know we've quite buying meat from Rouses because it all tasted spoiled to a degree

I got less than a 5lb butt which is pretty small. I plan on doing Carnitas Tacos in the Ninja today.

Probably outdated, previously frozen and repackaged.
Those prices don’t look too much like a sale to me. Sorry.
I stopped buying meat or anything at Rouses years ago.

Rouses puts on the $.99 a lb. pork butt sale at least 6 times a year and that is when I usually buy them in the 2 pack.

I picked up a 2 pack just a few minutes ago to make some hot and green onion sausage out of them.

They also put on good sales on chicken leg quarters, often for as low as $.49 a lb. and every once in a while for $.39 a lb. and they will put split breasts on sale for $.99 a lb. When they do that, I usually stock up.

Rouses is awful. Those aren't "deals." $1.69 is a normal price for Boston Butt. Select?

And they are huge..They are running about 13-15lbs..And yes today is the last day..If I buy meat from Rouse's I always check the date..They are notorious for having meat that is expiring the next day..Sometimes they cut the price but not by much..

I got a nice roast for my slow cocker . 3.99/lb for choice.

I also scooped up some turkey necks for my beans tomorrow.

Gonna be a good week!

I always look for the “special today” stickers. Usually they put them on choice filet or ribeyes. People don’t like the way they look bc they’re on the cusp of going bad. I cook them that day and save about $5.

For some of the other ones in here, the expiration date is on the label. Bought the lot yesterday.
