I have a surplus of venison roasts this year. Has anybody here made biltong with venison?

Never tried it myself. But know a guy from South Africa that makes it. He fabricated a box to dehydrate the meat. It has a light bulb for heat source, and a fan to pull moisture out.

Is he a good-sized ol' baw that sells (or sold) fuel piping solutions for maritime applications?

Because I knew a product rep several years ago from SA with that same set up.
