Gymnastics meet this Friday, places to eat

I live in the Spring/Woodlands area north of Houston and some friends are going to the Gymnastics meet this Friday. They are in their 50"s and will be staying for the weekend for the meet and places to see, eat, etc. Now I left BR in 1993 so my knowledge is not the freshest.
I told them the bar we used to go to was The Pastime and it was hard to beat Mike Anderson's Seafood. As to unusual attractions, I told them the Old State Capitol, Arsenal Museum, and Magnolia Mound. I also suggested they stay south of Florida Blvd. They do know to avoid Tigerland.
Any suggestions are appreciated and thanks in advance.

Torchy Tacos is on campus and you can park and walk to the meet
Chimes is right off campus. We park right on campus for basketball games and grab a bite to eat then walk to the PMAC

Chimes is also my go to. Mostly Louisiana/Cajun food and seafood.
L'Auberge is a pretty nice casino if they're into that. Has buffet and other restraunts. Avoid the Belle and Hollywood.
If they're downtown and want a steak, Stroubes.

Start at the Crazy Horse, quick drink and food at TJ's and then over to the Penthouse. You're welcome.

Been a long time since I’ve been, but classic bar and serviceable pizza is my recollection.
