I love grilling like anyone else with a functioning pair of testicles. But? Last night I grilled some chicken. Just 5 chicken breasts for dinner and realized I want a gas grill. Will keep charcoal but want gas also for just this type of thing. A few chicken breasts or 2 steaks. Don't see wasting time lighting a pit for 10-15 minutes of cooking.

The house we own has a gas line set up outside for a grill. What is involved in converting a propane grill to this OR are there gas grills out there for this type setup already? Any suggestions. I am willing to spend a little bit. But DO NOT want a kitchen in my backyard. If I need a kitchen I will cook inside.

Char griller duo, gas on one side, charcoal on the other. Solid.

Have someone make you an aluminum grill. Find an old gas grill and rob the burners. hook up the gas line with a splitter to each burner. Make sure that the burners can be interchanged easily as they will not last as long as the grill.

You can buy an LP to nat gas converter kit for gas grills. I haven't seen any grills that come installed with it, though I'm sure they are out there somewhere.

Ordered a Natty gas grill from Lowe's yesterday. Should be here in 10 days. Have the same hookup on the patio and it comes with a quick disconnect fitting if I need to move it to wash it out.

I've thought about running an LP line to the backyard. May have to do that soon.

I got a propane grill as a wedding gift and called a couple of hardware stores in town and found one that could convert my propane grill to a gas grill. It cost like $75 or something. When I asked what the difference was, they said that they had to "drill out the orafaces" because I guess the openings are different for propane and Natural Gas.

There should be plenty of Natural gas grills for sale, and this late in the season, you're likely to get a good deal.

Does it have to be a "Natty" gas grill? Just gave me bitter beer face.

I have the same fitting. So Lowes does have a natural gas grill?

I believe you can get some of the Weber grills for natural gas... probably will have to special order them. Check out the grill specs on their website.

My parents bought a grill that was NG ready for between $300-400. I don't think they are that expensive to purchase.
