I LOVE Bodacious (although haven't had it in 5+ years).
They used to have sloppy joes (basically their chopped beef in a ton of BBQ sauce) for $1-- and, yes, this was in the 21st century.

Yea- my family was down there this time last year & caught a couple dozen blue crabs in the surf. Boiled them up & had dinner!

They have Cereality in the DFW airport. I confess I've detoured to eat there on a morning layover. I can only eat so many bagels, pastries & fast food sandwiches when traveling... sometimes I just want some cereal.

1- Buying 12 items & ending up with them bagged in 10 different bags.
2- People who stand with the freezer door open to decide what they want. Is there a problem with looking through the window??

re: Shipping crawfish internationally.........
Posted by lsuscubachick on 3/11/10 at 11:25 pm to BigAlBR
I tried to ship a coat back to a friend in London when she left it in NOLA for New Year's. They told me it was going to be $100 for the slowest way... and that was just a coat.
Good luck! If I lived over there, I know I'd love some great crawfish!

When I lived in Texas, I got Boar's Head Honey Turkey all of the time from Kroger. I've only seen it at Maxwells & Calandro's (on Perkins- not sure about Gov't) & usually try to make a stop there to get it. In my opinion, very worth it. I'll pay almost the same for something at Wal-Mart / Target.
Wine fridge recommendation
Posted by lsuscubachick on 10/25/09 at 5:59 pm
Anyone have a recommendation for a wine fridge? I'm looking for something that holds 25-35 bottles & can be built in. I'd like dual zone but am flexible on that. I've looked around online & see tons of mixed reviews. I'm not looking to spend a fortune.
Breakfast in BR
Posted by lsuscubachick on 10/23/09 at 9:10 pm
Any suggestions for breakfast in BR tomorrow morning? I have a friend coming in town & no breakfast food at my house.
I'd really like some pancakes / waffles.

Find a Kroger that has a tortillaria! We had one near us in Dallas & loved their tortillas!

:yack:
My least favorite... tried it a few times & can't make myself like it.
Agreed that Sushi Yama seemed exactly like Kamados- maybe I need to try it again. I haven't been there in awhile.

I used to always stop at Bodacious BBQ along I-20 in East Texas (somewhere near Longview). Good stuff!

I believe you can get some of the Weber grills for natural gas... probably will have to special order them. Check out the grill specs on their website.

re: best of Subway, Quiznos, Jimmy John's, Potbelly & Blimpie?

I flew in/out of Reagan airport 2 weeks ago & had Potbelly's when I landed & again when I flew out. We had it in Dallas- I REALLY wish they'd open in Baton Rouge!

We started going to Cosmo's last year, & I've really liked that. They have a good variety too.
