I try to never travel into Metairie, unless i absolutely must, but I would suggest The Garrision.

Give Spitale's a try. It has been a few years, but they have daily lunch specials and the standard NOLA lunch menu items. Customer service has been their forte.

I see you like Thai. I like those places especially Tuk. Lately i have been going to Ya ya's thai. It's in a bar on David drive but the $9 Massaman curry and $8 green curry is really good with a thai tea.
