Good place for lunch on Saturday in Lafayette?

Before a wedding. We will be checking into the Hampton Inn which is off of Hwy 90 after lunch and Kaliste Saloom Road. It will be me, my husband, and 3 teenagers. Not real expensive preferred but certainly better than a chain restaurant.

There is Pete's on Johnston street. It is a burger place but I don't know what you are looking for.

You're about 2 1/2 miles from Poor Boy's Riverside Inn. It's very good.

We ended up not making it there by lunchtime so we did not eat. passed by Pete's and also Alessi pizza. I remembered it from childhood. is it still decent?
