Dude that thing looks hard to use. Definitely more so than the typical oyster knife.

Walmart sells good enough ones in the fishing aisle if you need it in a pinch.

Order you a few Dexter brand from Amazon. Oyster shuckers are cheap and you can never have too many!

Not really. You can pop the hinge like you're using a wrench, then slide it in and around to cut the oyster away from the shell.

I use a Dexter 2-3/4 inch blade with a curved tip. Can find them for 7-8 bucks on Amazon. I’ve shucked over 35k oysters this year. By far the hardest steel blade that’s impossible to break.

bruh, like lbs or oysters or what? We need some more info here.

Yes, Dexter is the brand that most in the restaraunt industry use. You can usually find them in restaurant supply stores or fishing/ outdoor stores.

35k individual oysters and probably more. I own an Oyster farm and manage a restaurant. Had trouble keeping a consistent shucker on staff this summer so I did/do most of the shucking. Also have events i shuck at in my spare time and for friends and family.

This knife also had a Dexter blade. This is a design my brother got a patent on over 25 years ago. He bought the blades from Dexter.

We sold a number of them, but ultimately other factors took over and production ceased.

Greg, are you talking about a shucking knife, or one of those big contraptions that look like a walnut cracker?
