Maybe they called their relatives in the United States and asked them what type of food crackers like.
In all seriousness...China is a huge place with a pretty diverse cuisine if I had to guess.
The idea that they're all eating things that can be found on the Nine Dragon menu is pretty asinine.

Chinese food is so broad, even the picture menu places offer a wide variety of items. Chinese food covers a lot of ground.
I like General Tso's chicken. Panda Bear on Bluebonnet has some good General Tso's chicken and so does New China in central. Nine Dragon has Signapore chicken that is pretty darn good. This is all cheap, generic Americanized "chinese" good though. If you want authentic, that's probably a whole different beast all-together.

Hunan isn't what it used to be. It has gone down hill big time.

Paul Wong in the Main Street Market
To answer the original question, I've never had a bad dish a Combo King. Everything is good there.

quote:Lived there for 5 years and would have to agree. New Orleans blows Baton Rouge in the Chinese food category, yet IMO Baton Rouge blows New Orleans away in the sushi category. Best I ever found was Hunan's at night - then Chinese Combo King during the day for lunch when near campus.
I never found a good chinese place in BR.

I had the lunch buffet at Hunan and it was better than most.
I've heard repeatedly here that ordering from the menu is the way to go, so I decided to try dinner for the first time, and was told by them to make my way upstairs to the Japanese restaurant. I thought that was sort of strange, although I've seen Hunan's in the Kamado dining room before. Is the dining room closed for dinner?
