Another Korean place opens.
Is it just me, and maybe it is since people goto these places, but not a fan of cooking my own food when going out.
"Gin Korean BBQ, the new do-it-yourself barbecue restaurant in Metairie’s Fat City threw open its doors at 3012 N. Arnoult Road on Sunday.
The new spot has grills at each table for DIY meat preparation, making it an engaging, sociable experience, co-owner Nga Vu told Todd Price in February. Expect the raw meat to come to the table with a selection of banchan or small side dishes, like kimchi, vegetables, rice, and tofu. T
In recent years, the New Orleans area has gotten several new Korean restaurants. Metairie already claims two others: the playful Gogi and long-running Korea House. Little Korea, a dressier, expanded version from the daughter of the owners of the now-shuttered Little Korea on Claiborne, opened in the Garden District in 2016.
Gin’s opening hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m. View the full menu here."

Looks better than fondue
I remember being in high school and thinking The Melting Pot was a nice date spot.
What a freaking moron I was paying like $50/person to cook my own damned food.

It's not something I would normally choose when I'm taking my wife on a date, but Korean BBQ is fun with a group of people.

only thing you should be worried about is smelling like bbq'd meat afterwards

For single people I think its a solid date as it gives you a bunch to do and talk about. Plus you know if the chick is high maintenance as hell right away.
I do enjoy fondue and sure Melting Pot is expensive but I enjoy it once a year or 2 with my family and kids. I could see enjoying this similarly.
