Gardeners -- when do you bring your plants inside?

There doesn't seem to be a consensus online. I'm mainly talking about a potted herb garden

Basil I will bring in when it is forecast for below 40. Thyme, oregano, parsley and mint are cold hardy so I never bring them in.

I don't. Rosemary is planted in the ground & is fairly hardy in my 9B climate zone, as is the thyme, oregano and chives. Some years, the sage overwinters just fine as well. I let the basil go to seed in November & save some seeds to plant the next spring.
Most other herbs I grow are annuals...cilantro, fennel, aforementioned basil....

I don't do Fall-Winter garden. All my Summer stuff is in the compost pile for Spring.
But I am feeding the new wild rabbit living under my deck. He is eating the carrots every day. Trying him on celery stalks tonight.

The damn rabbits were gnawing on the trunks of trees in my orchard. I was all ready to wrap the trunks, and the coyotes returned with the cooler weather. Voila, no more rabbits.
