LINK to crappy Advocate website

Galatoire’s Bistro in Baton Rouge is closing immediately and will be replaced by another restaurant group, which plans to redevelop the building into an upscale, casual restaurant and bar.

The new restaurant, slated to be named Perkins Provisions, is expected to open later this summer, Galatoire’s said Friday in a statement. The renovations to the Perkins Road space will begin immediately, Galatoire’s said.

Plans for the remodeled restaurant space include closing the patio in and bolstering the bar and lounge area. The restaurant's private dining and event space will remain intact.

No surprise; I never had a good meal there. They were not a good reflection of the original.

“ an upscale, casual restaurant”... count me out, they don’t even know their concept before it opens

Let's find the best part of the building and take it away... Nice

It was nothing special the few times that I went...
I like the building and the atmosphere more than the food
I liked the outside patio very much but I'm not surprised it closed

I know that the article said that it was because their lease was bought out, but I still think the original idea was a bit flawed in the location they chose. It’s kind of hard to replicate the atmosphere of the Bourbon Street venue in a parking lot on Perkins Road. It could work better in downtown BR, however...

I did

The next easy money betting wise on that list is probably Bleachers on Chimes St. (Property Owner opened a bar where Mahoney's after Reginelli's was)

And you can always bet on The Leave/Bandit/Shady's changing hands every couple of years.

You know a lessee generally has to be willing to sell their lease, right?

Ok. Your phrasing was odd then.
