Frying some venison cutlets tonight...

In the past I just season some flower and fry em up. Thinking about marinating first for tonight though. Saw a recipe that said use a 50/50 mixture of beer and soy sauce. Opinions?

I assume that's a fancy way of saying deer steak. If so, I would rather fry them w/out any marination. Smack em with a hammer, dredge in seasoned flour and fry to a golden brown. But that's just my humble opinion.

I don't know about "fancy." I just think of a larger cut of meat when I hear steak, and a smaller cut when I hear cutlet.
But yeah, I'm not sure about the marinade.

Everytime...One thing I never try to get creative w/ because it's just too damn good not to.
I always make sure I cut thick enough to leave a Med Rare center and I pan fry.

Really redneck, but yummy, nonetheless...
Marinate 7-Up or Sprite w/ Tony's (or your seasoning of choice)...season flour w/ the same, dredge, and fry.
