You always get to eat the best stuff!
I love fried chicken livers...unfortunately the wife doesn't share my enthusiasm.

If anyone knows of a Popeyes still doing them, I am there. The one in Donaldsonville is the last time I saw them on the menu.
Popeyes on Pinhook in Laffy is still serving them. I just called to confirm!

MD: So those came from the Pure gas station on MS39 just north of I-20/59? I travel through that area -- sometimes even stay @ the Hampton across the street -- nice to know another spot I can get a real meal, now that the Chili House is long gone.

No - not that one. These came from the Pure Oil Station in Dekalb, MS - about 30 miles north of that one on H-39.
Church's still has Chicken Livers, but I don't know if there is on on I-20-59. Th eonly one I can recall is on 8th street. Craker Barrel has them too. right across the street from the Hampton Inn. Try walking across the lot to Penn's sometime. I bet you already do.
Loved Chili House - Ate there about once a aweek when they were on the Interstate. Shame their business wasn'[t better than it was. I think the last year they were there, MNAS kept them going (and the wife and me).

Those look delish Dog! I really like gizzards as well. Leader's (corner of Burnside and Cornerview) in Gonzales is my fave.
