Friday night NOLA options. Clancy's or Desi Vega

I know they are completely different. I have been to Clancy's but not Desi. Is it worth a trip or should I stick to what I know will be great?

I've never been to Desi Vega, but I don't go to steakhouses much when in New Orleans. Those are two odd choices when put together. Are you set on steak? If not, are there other restaurants of interest which you haven't tried since you've been to Clancy's?

Desi is terrific if you want steak. Love Desi .. Apps are usually great too.

Its just the 2 places we have reservations for 6 of us. Wanted to avoid the quarter. I think we are leaning to Clancy's since more variety than just steak. Wanted a classic new orleans cuisine place.

Went to Clancy's in September. It might have been the best meal I've ever had in NOLA.

If you want the beef, go to Desi's.
If you want anything else, go to Clancy's.

Both are great, but if forced to choose, I’d pick Clancy’s.
