Went by yesterday late morning, didn't realize it was their first day. As expected there was quite a crowd, and they quickly ran out of food. Did a pretty good job with the space, but they haven't completely finished it appears (roaster machine not installed).

Just left. Massive crowd. Took 15min for my pour over after waiting in line 10min...
Looking forward to when they have the roasters up and running so I can buy the beans same day roasted.
Only complaint I really have is that it's extremely loud inside. Place is an echo chamber.

Serious question:
What makes one places beans (ie French Truck) superior to another (ie Whole Foods) if they are roasted approximately the same day?
I usually buy freshly roasted beans from WF and avoid the packaged beans from other high end roasters as they have usually been roasted weeks-months earlier. Am I missing something?

Not necessarily superior, simply potentially different. Whole Foods offers a few single origin coffees (made with one kind of bean) and a handful of blends (of multiple beans). FT will likely offer more (or at least different) single origins and therefore different blends.
