French Press Coffeehouse vs PJ’s Coffee

French Press seems to be an upcoming competitor to PJ’s in the LA market. The coffee At French Press across all styles seems to have an edge against PJ’s. Anyone else have feedback? I’m interested in franchising a French Press.

I looked into CC’s also but they have been closing stores left n right. Which indicates a brand issue.

I assumed you meant French Truck, but is French Press Coffee simply something I haven’t come across? Where is it?

There are a few French presses in Metairie

Not French truck. French Press has four locations on the south shore and one in just opened in Houston. Just started franchising.

PJs hot coffee tastes like poo. PJs has the best iced coffee. All French Press coffee tastes like poo. Cc’s has the best hot coffee - iced coffee so so. frick Starbucks.

Thought the coffee was great, all the beverages were good. I like the fact you can get a salad and sandwhiches, too. I wish Baton Rouge had one. Coffeehouse, but great for lunch or light dinner as well.

You want the honest truth? All three suck and they do not care about the quality of the coffee bean which in turn is the core of the business. The only thing they are interested in is flavored drinks bc of the margins. If you want quality you will need to look elsewhere.
Community- roast their own beans. buys arabica beans but not in the same quality as other gourmet coffee shops. They are just moving volume.
PJ’s- roast their own beans. Coffee never has been the same quality of coffee bean since they let Scott the coffee buyer and master roaster go in 1995 bc the CEO was only interested in increased margins and not coffee. Then pushed PJ out of the business. They chased the money but dropping the quality of bean to increase margins so their coffee bean is sub average. The Ballards got a deal when they bought it and have done a great job running it however, quality of coffee is not the business.
Coffee Press- does not roast their own beans and buys them already roasted. Owned by the same guy who owns Daiquiri’s & Creams. He is only interested in the money and the frufru drinks is his core interest. He has plans in roasting his own beans but has no experience nor the know how to do it.
Starbucks sucks and the beans are sub par as well but they don’t care bc they are already huge.
If you want a local company in NOLA that sells great coffee talk to the crazy lady that owns petite rouge. She knows what’s she is talking about. However, she needs money to grow and does not roast her own beans either. I am sure she would love multiple locations. Also try the place on Bienville Street- the coffee station.
Also when looking at buying a coffee franchise find out the history of the coffee roasting and the quality of the bean. Learn your coffee bc quality of end product is the result of the coffee. Adding sugary syrup to coffee makes anything taste great. Some commercially bought coffee is great but what’s really the company mission or story.
If you are still interested in buying a chain then Good luck as the coffee industry is changing.

CC's prices are insane unless you're getting black coffee

French Press may be the worst coffee in Metry.
