Made some pulled pork about 4 days ago. Have been going out with friends, so there's a lot of pulled pork left. I want to freeze some of it before it goes bad so I can eat it later.
If I put it in the freezer today, then when I am ready to eat it in a couple of weeks, how many days will it be good for when I pull it out of the freezer?
Does the clock start over? So another 5 days or so? Or just 1 more day?
Thanks in advance.

To be on the safe side I'd eat it within 2 or 3 days after thawing and I would expose it to some high heat to kill any bacteria.

I would freeze it in smaller batches so you only have to thaw what you can eat at the time.

Freeze it in small batches as suggested and take out what you need. I wouldn't let it go more than a few days after defrosting.

Same thing we do when we cook a large piece of meat. Those quart sized freezer bags are great. We'll even cook up a huge package of ground beef and freeze it in individual serving sized portions. Make for a quick meal when we're cooking something like tacos, spaghetti, chili, etc. It thaws out faster in the pan than if I was browning it from raw.

Portion the final product into FoodSaver bags and seal/freeze them for future use.
If you don't have a FoodSaver unit, get one.
