Franklin closing - space to be replaced by Angeline which is moving

Interesting switch. Chef that really got The Franklin its rep died unexpectedly, and it just seemed like they never overcame this tragedy.

I second your damnit. They had some sort of steak a la mode w/ foie gras ice cream a while back that was one of the single best things i've ever eaten in new orleans.

That and the tempura avocado with crab meat were spectacular. The chef dying really sucked.
FYI this new restaurant is not going to be Angeline. Same chef as Angeline but different place with different menu and The Franklin owners are involved.
