Looking for casual lunch spots and places to get a day drink. Weather looks like it will be nice, so patios are welcome. Any breweries worth visiting in FW?

If you're going that far then hit False Idol too which is near Turning Point. Both are in shitty suburbs but brew some of the best beer in DFW. Ft Worth proper doesn't have any great breweries but Martin House has a few good beers. I would hit Bearded Lady for lunch and beer and then over to America Garden if its nice for some day drinking in a nice outdoor area. Another outdoor option with great people watching is Flying Saucer which is in the middle of Sundance Square downtown.

ETA: Rodeo Goat is close to America Gardens and has great burgers.

Awesome. I’ve heard good things about that place. Thanks.

We are staying at the Embassy Suites downtown, so this will definitely happen since it’s walkable. Thanks for the rec.

Dayne's Craft BBQ inside Lola's Trailer park. There is a full service bar to compliment his food trailer. Only weekday he is open is Friday, but the burger is awesome. Frito pie beans are a hit and the desserts are can't miss.

Second Bearded Lady, Martin House, Goat, Saucer and Heim (river for outdoor seating). If you’re down off of South Main, pop into Nickel City for a drink. Next door to Bearded Lady.

Enchiladas Ole has good food, but terrible atmosphere and drinks. Last two visits the service has been a nightmare. I’m rooting for them because I like the owner, but they’ve got some room to improve.

I love Enchiladas Ole. My sister lives a quarter of a mile away so we walk there all the time. I think their nachos are the best in the area. Other places like Chuys, Mi Cocina, etc. have disappointing nachos but Enchiladas Ole nachos are great.

Riscky's BBQ(not Steakhouse) has all you can eat spare ribs, I think, if you are into that. Not bad BBQ.

Trailboss is OK for burgers. Used to go there for my birthday when I was a kid.

I prefer El Rancho Grande over Joe T's for Mexican

Yes. Provendar Hall and Lonesome Dove. Both outstanding, can eat at the bar at both.

Went to Tim Love’s New Mexican place this weekend. It’s crazy expensive for what you get. Some entrees fantastic, others not so much. Great atmosphere.

El Rancho Grande is no more. For real deal Mexican down there, go to Los Asaderos. Go to Joe T’s for scenery only. And bring cash and prepare to wait.

I'll second that. I also like Los Paisanos just down the street.

Fort Brewing off White Settlement Rd has a cool patio, good pizza and great wine list. Lots of beer choices but can’t vouch for quality

More of a nostalgia thing. I worked for the Fort Worth Cats groundskeeping crew during my college summers and we'd go there every Wednesday
