Last Sunday, from Bergeron’s in Covington, I got a bunch of stuff including two deer (ground venison and beef) burritos. Everything else was eaten happily but the deer burritos were left and refrigerated soon after.

~~~Okay to eat?~~~
Time before they were refrigerated is going to be the number one topic medical people will have. "Soon" is not a definition. (Edited from autocorrect that didn't make any sense.)
You cannot even take a guess at answering this question without knowing:
Were they purchased cold or hot?
How long from time of purchase to time of refrigeration?
Where did they sit out and what was the temperature (room temp or left in a hot car, etc.)?
A general rule of thumb is 4 hours at room temperature. If the food or the environment is hotter than room temperature, the time is less. Unless they sat out for hours, I would guess they will be fine, but "when in doubt, throw it out".
Sunday as in 4 days ago? They're fine.
Or do you mean Sunday, June 4th?
Oh, I see now he's asking if it's ok from Sunday. I thought he was asking if it was ok from being left out.
Leftovers rule of thumb is 3-4 days. I'm more than fine with 4 days. Again, it all depends on how and if the food was "abused" before refrigerating.
OCD here and throw it after 3-4 days. We probably throw a lot of food that is still good.
As long as “soon after” doesn’t mean sat on the counter for 3-4 hours until someone decided to put them away, then yeah they should be ok to eat after 4 days of being in the refrigerator.
Yeah. 4 days is nothing. My own rule is usually 6 days, depending on the food and if I put it in the fridge quickly. I've never made myself or anyone else sick.
Properly cooked meats will technically be edible weeks later refrigerated. Only issue is taste. Discussed this with friends once and no of us knew anyone that actually got sick from eating food left on the counter overnight or refrigerated for long periods of time.
Now definitely some loose bowels over 2 day old pizza left on the counter, but didn't get sick.
Same for me. I have a weird thing about leftovers.
Some great replies. I wouldn’t have even made the thread except the burritos are so damn good I felt guilty from possibly wasting them.
