Thanks. I update my list for Ruth's Chris to Koestler. Haven't been to the Jackson Ruth's Chris in a long long time. Went to the Birmingham one often (Business). Is the place in Livingston Town Square still open. I thought the lender foreclosed on the entire development. We drive past there sometimes on our way from Madison to Flora, then down to Clinton.

Anything else I need to add to my list? The guy who owned Nick's on Lakeland opened a little mom and pop restaurant somewhere in the Lake Catherine neighbor hood didn't he? Angel's something? Is he still out there. I loved Nick's more then almost anywhere we ever at in Jackson.

County Seat closed recently. The Gathering is still open there. They have a new cocktail bar/small bites place called Briar Patch which is pretty cool and has really good cocktails.

Mermaid Cafe. Pretty solid for the most part. Doesn't do as many specials and such as he did at Nick's.

Thanks everyone for all the recommendations. We drove straight to Oxford so there was no stopping in Jackson. When we got to Oxford we ate on campus at Shake’n Steak. Not what I wanted, then for dinner we went to Saint Leo in The square. Besides the wait the food was great!

The pre meal toast and olives in olive oil were outstanding! We started with the Cream and white bean dip. Really good and not mashed. Then we ate one of the pasta dishes and panchetta with cream sauce. Real good. Finally, ordered a Bianca pizza which was a white sauce with cheese and added an egg. Great place met a lot of friendly people. Look forward to going back and trying additional places.
