Interestingly enough, the American Style is currently in the process of falling out of favor in America (probably because it's absurd). I made the switch from American to European at some point in my teens and never looked back. As a personal anecdote, I've seen Europeans look at my American friends like they are lunatics for eating with the zig-zag method.
phuck all that. Seriously, if I have to watch how I cut my meat I just as soon not eat.

I simply find it interesting just how much the random allotment of where we were born has such an impact on everything from how we eat to how we worship. Human beings are interesting creatures
