What has happened to this place? Went tonight on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded at all

It's too hit or miss. Had some incredible meals there but also some real duds.

For the money I would rather go to Ruth's and know what I am going to get every time.

Shell of its former self in my opinion. Used to be a regular from 2005-2008. Valet parking, courtesy opening of the door upon walking in. Manager would greet you as well. Chef Coco was the partner chef who opened it and it was a pleasure to eat there. The last time I went it felt mundane and blasé.

It’s my go to Happy Hour and quick bar dinner spot during the week and pretty good for that. Last time I sat in the dining room was Easter Brunch and we had a great meal.

Best burger in Baton Rouge during "Bar Bites."

I haven't been in a while, but when I did go outside of happy hour, I wouldn't order a steak from there. You can find a better steak elsewhere (i.e. Ruth's) for the same price. Instead, I would always opt for a pork chop. They serve a great thick chop.

My past two meals there were terrible. Won't go back.

It’s been hit and miss from my experience. Went couple Fridays back and it was not crowded at all. Food and service was excellent all around.

The one thing they do that I’ve loved every time is that duck breast over grits with blueberry sauce over the top. I can’t get enough of that dish.

I agree. We used to be eat there often 2004-2008 when my wife and I were at LSU. We moved away but ate there twice in the past year and food was noticeably down from years past. I doubt we will be back anytime soon. Much better options around for the money.

Too many other great restaurants around there to waste money at a place a little better than Sullivans....Ruth Chris, Stabs, Mansurs, Jimmy Johns are all better....
