A muffin pan works just fine.

I've used a muffin pan and it does work. Just doesn't look as good.

A lot of places sell the scallop shells as does Amazon and they are cheap.

People who don't like raw oysters for no more reason than that they look nasty are fricking crazy. In my mind. Raw is my favorite. Call me crazy. I like fried the least. Also. Not a fan of oyster stew.

Fitzmorris has been pimpin' these lately: Loftin Ceramic shells

And there's also those stainless steel ones.

I've seen those but they are $65 a dozen and when I do them I'm doing a half gallon from Wilson's in Houma so I need bulk. Scallop shells are cheap. Those Loftin would be a good Christmas gift.

I have a couple of old iron casserole dishes and I've done a bunch in that then just served on plates. That works pretty good too.

Nothing like a raw oyster on a cracker with cocktail sauce.

And

Nothing like a good chargrilled oyster with some french bread to dip in the juice
