For butter I would say that it is the same thing. There might be more water in it, you can usually tell what’s different by reading the ingredient list. The order it comes in shows which ingredients have more.
Like I said, most of it is very very close to the same thing. They might tweak the recipe very slightly but it’s almost indistinguishable
